If you wish to pursue an academic matter, such as grades or your standing in the program, the first step is to consult the School of Graduate Studies Calendar and review the relevant sections under General Regulations and/or Degree Regulations (the former includes a step-by-step description of the process for academic appeals). If issues pertaining to the supervision of your thesis work are involved, you should also consult the SGS Guidelines on Graduate Student Supervision. Please note that the Vice-Dean Students at SGS encourages early consultation relating to appeals and can be contacted at email@example.com.
If you have been accused of academic misconduct, consult Academic Integrity for links to information on plagiarism and other academic offences and the procedures that apply if a student is suspected of having committed an offence under the Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters, as well as to reports on the outcomes of cases that have appeared at the University Tribunal.
